Whether you’re a competitive travel athlete or wanting to play volleyball for the first time, Iron Courts has a place for you. Aspiring athletes will thrive in one of our Academy programs, while more experienced athletes can compete on our Club teams or participate in one of our high level Elite skill clinics. Iron Courts Volleyball Academies are designed to teach the fundamentals of volleyball in a group instructional format. These weekly sessions provide a fun, educational environment to learn and try new drills with other athletes who are at a similar skill level. Iron Courts Skills Classes are designed for more advanced skill work. Our Academies and Skill Classes have one trainer for each 10-15 students. See our full curriculum below!

Volleyball at Iron Courts: Leagues

The Iron Courts volleyball leagues provide a fun, encouraging, and competitive environment at which to grow. With multiple age groups and both Recreational and Club Divisions, there is an option for all kids. Athlete ages are verified via birth certificate submittal.

  • All games on Saturdays
  • All games at one location: Iron Courts Phoenix
  • Leagues include a 7 game guarantee (6 regular season games plus a minimum of 1 playoff game) during our 8 week season
  • Register under the athlete’s grade level for the school year 2025/2026. 
  • New to REC Division – All-Star Games for stand out 3rd to 8th grade athletes the week after playoffs!
  • All Regular Season League Games have Free Admission and are Streamed on LiveBarn. $5 Admission Fee for Adults (18+) for Playoff weekend and All-Star Games.

Rec Division

The Iron Courts Recreational Division is ideal for athletes that enjoy the game and want to grow in the game. Athletes and coaches will be assigned to create teams of similar skill level and of the same grade.

  • Includes 1 hour of practice time at Iron Courts weekly
  • Practices start the week of the first game
  • Rec League Volunteer Coaches get $100 credit after week 1

Competitive Club Program – IC Icons

The Iron Courts Competitive Club Program is ideal for athletes that want a more competitive environment and more skill and player development. Athletes will be assigned to teams of similar grades. 

  • Includes 2 hours of practice time at Iron Courts weekly with Paid Coaches/Trainers
  • Must attend Player Placement Day to be placed on team
  • Practice time depends on coach/grades.
  • Includes 1 hour of Club Player Development Series weekly Wednesdays 4pm

Volleyball Academy: Rookie

The Rookie Volleyball Academy is intended for athletes 8 – 10 years old. This class will help young athletes build a solid foundation for the sport. They get hands-on with essential skills like passing, setting, overhand serving, and spiking—all in a fun, safe environment that inspires them to get involved and play their best. With every session, they fine-tune their movements, boost coordination and build confidence on the court. Through structured training and engaging games, our players experience the joy and excitement of volleyball while sharpening their technique and control.

Volleyball Academy: Junior

The Junior Volleyball Academy is for athletes 11 – 12 years old. In this class, athletes learn proper technique for the fundamental volleyball skills: pass, set, overhand serve, down-ball, and spike. Athletes will be able to put these skills together at each session to play a variety of competitive and cooperative volleyball games. With a solid foundation in these skills, athletes are able to experience the fun and success of playing volleyball.

Club Player Development Series

Club Player Development Series is designed for players in club volleyball to supplement their training. Every month has a new focus of instruction and training. Players will receive position-specific coaching, as well as intensive fundamental skills development. Athletes will refine both the technical and tactical aspects of their game, helping them reach their full potential. This class is included in the Icons Club Team membership.
