Our Sports Performance Training Program uses the Five Pillars of Athletic Training. We focus on building dynamic stability and a strong core to improve overall power and strength. Using 3D resistance training, we can increase strength in movements used specifically in basketball and other sports. Focusing on speed and agility and endurance training we use fundamental movement skills and sport-specific skills to develop athleticism, increase speed, strength, and reduce injuries and increase stamina.

Howard Elite Athletic Training

The Howard Elite Athletic Training Class gives athletes an intense performance training program. This class mimics collegiate training. It is for athletes 13 years and older or athletes who have mastered foundational training movements. This is a systematic approach that focuses on building strength, power, speed, quickness, and endurance specific to each sport and athlete while creating greater mobility and flexibility to decrease injury potential.

Youth Elite Training

Our Youth Elite Training Class is for 10-12 year olds or athletes who need to learn foundational training movements. This will include performance training and speed / vertical jump training. This class is designed to address the needs of rapidly growing and developing athletes for athletic performance and general fitness. This program provides the physical foundation on which we will build upon in order to prepare for more advanced training. Every training session will include balance, flexibility, reaction, speed, vertical, and strength.

Speed and Vertical Jump Training

Our Speed and Vertical Jump Class gives athletes an elite level sports performance training program. Class is designed for 10-18 year olds. This class will help you reach your maximum speed potential and increase your vertical jump by increasing explosive and elastic strength. The session begins with five minutes of muscle activation followed by 10 minutes of running mechanics followed by sprints and agility drills. The Vertical Jump / Plyometrics session includes Vertimax training. This will increase your vertical jump 3-5 inches in a matter of 4-6 weeks depending on frequency of training (2x’s a week recommended).

 Vertimax Program (7 Weeks)

Our Vertimax and Vertical Jump Program is 7 weeks. Class is designed for 13-18 year olds. In this 7 week Vertimax and Vertical Jump program, athletes could increase their vertical jump 3-5 inches. The program begins with vertical jump testing. Participants will be re-tested at the end of the program to show performance increases. This will increase your vertical jump by increasing explosive and elastic strength. Program led by Chuck Howard.

Adult Fitness

This is an Adult Only (18+) Performance Training Class. This class is for all fitness levels. This 60 minute workout includes 20 minutes of balance, flexibility, core and stabilization exercises followed by 40 minutes of strength. Groups of 2-3 people will go through 7-8 five minute super set exercises. This total body training is consistently training to maximize muscle confusion which results in increased strength, endurance and fat loss with muscle gain.

Physical Education: Basketball

This is a Physical Education class for Home School students. Class is split into groups based on skill level. Proteus Strength and Power Training

The only way to measure and train power for every movement. Using 3D resistance technology, the Proteus trains power, unlike any other conventional training method. It achieves this by allowing you to train strength and velocity at the same time with athletic/dynamic intent in all directions, during every repetition. This means you can train with the same intensity and intent you would use in competition. This heightened muscular engagement prompts users to produce force from the ground up and naturally adjust to discover their optimal movement patterns.

This training method provides twice the neuromuscular stimulation compared to conventional means. It strengthens the entire movement pattern for maximum efficiency, performing two exercises at once. The Proteus is also safer than traditional resistance training tools as there is no drop-off or eccentric demand placed on the muscles since it adapts itself to your movements. So when you stop, it stops. Thus this unique resistance system has a minimal negative impact on joints and tissues. Collectively this system is an entirely new standard for personalized fitness and physical rehabilitation.

Custom Training to Build Performance

Custom Personal Training sessions are available for Iron Courts Members with one of our experienced trainers throughout the week. Work on strength, plyometrics, speed, or Proteus 3D Motion training. A customized individualized training program can be built for the athlete to focus on desired areas or areas of weakness. Sessions are 1 on 1 or you can add an additional athlete for $20/athlete (up to 4 total athletes).

Custom Recovery Session

This custom 1-hour session is designed to help you optimize all aspects of recovery and reach your goals faster! After an assessment with our Recovery Specialist, you will receive a personal recovery program addressing your unique needs with evidence-based recommendations.

A Custom Iron Recovery session also includes 30-minutes of Recovery services. This is a great option for:
– an athlete preparing for competition
– dealing with acute or chronic musculoskeletal injury
– looking to increase physical activity or start a new fitness routine
– experience nagging pain / stiffness / tension

Team Recovery Session – Schedule a one hour team/group recovery session. Utilized by top training groups and sports clubs for pre and post athletic recovery. Includes Compression, Cryotherapy, and Stretching. Cost: $250/hr (up to 10 athletes and 2 coaches)
